Ministry Statement

Unitarian Universalists believe that the search for truth and meaning is a life long process. Our mission is to provide our children and youth with a spiritual foundation based on our Unitarian Universalist principles and a sense of reverence. We will develop opportunities to nurture their spiritual, emotional, and intellectual growth through religious education, community building activities, and service. Our intention is to foster responsible stewards of our faith and its future.

From the Director of Religious Education …

Welcome to the 2007 – 2008 Religious Education program at River of Grass. Our classes and activities have been designed to support our congregation in their spiritual journey, recognizing that the search for truth and meaning is a life long process.  Our program includes a safe and cheerful environment for out babies and toddlers, a pre-Kindergarten – Kindergarten class, exciting children’s classes using our Workshop Rotation Model, a new and exciting middle school program, a vibrant high school and Young Unitarian Universalist (YRUU) group, and engaging adult programs.

The Religious Education (RE) Committee, the Adult RE Committee, the Director of Religious Education (DRE), the Teachers and Guides, Youth Advisors and Adult Discussion Facilitators have been striving to develop an exciting and engaging program keeping the needs and desires of our diverse community in mind.

While we have much to offer you, we also need your full participation for our program to be a success. When we interact as learning and caring community we are challenged to live up to our fullest potential.

Please join us on this exciting journey together. See you Sunday!
